"All I could hear was joy and laughter..."

Advert reads 'I volunteer, could you?'
Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the local community. It's the excellent team of volunteer leaders and helpers who make the adventures happen for our young people.

BIG Activities Helper

We're in need of an occasional helper to assist our Navigation Skills Instructor. You will assist our instructor to deliver a short programme of training sessions followed by a day hike. The Skills Instructor will plan each session, however, you will need to liaise with Section Leaders to choose and invite selected members to participate in the BIG Hiking activity. You will need to ensure member know where to meet and what to bring to each session.

Occasional Helper

Every year we help young people enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Why not get in on the action! How much time you give is up to you, and you don’t need any previous experience. We have a huge variety of roles to suit everyone, and whatever you choose, we’ll make sure you’re properly trained and supported.

Advert reads: Help keep us spick and span! Can you make our meeting place sparkle so that it’s ready for another action packed week of activities? Go on, the cups of tea and digestives are free... We need someone to help us wash and put away equipment at the end of a section meeting. 5 – 10 minutes is all we need to make a huge difference. Sound like you? Contact your section leader or Sara via volunteer@150th.org.uk.
Volunteers make sure that the young people have loads of fun, and normally have loads of fun themselves by doing so. We need to do this safely and adults take an enhanced DBS check as part of our commitment to safeguarding children and young people.

Join our Trustee Board
Joining our Executive Committee is a great way to support 150th Scout Group. We meet 5-6 times a year.

Trustees enjoy making a difference via overall management of the group. They also play a big part in our medium and long term plans so that local scouting will continue to flourish for decades to come!
