Helping with a Section
Leaders & Helpers Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the local community. It is the excellent team of volunteer adult leaders and helpers who make the adventures happen for our young people. They make sure that the young people have loads of fun, and normally have loads of fun themselves by doing so. There are 4 sections that are run by adults: Beavers 6 -8 years Cubs 8 - 10.5 years Scouts 10.5 - 14.5 years Explorers 14.5 - 18 years Adults undertake an enhanced DBS check as part of our commitment to ensure the safety of our young members. If you feel that you would be able to help us to put smiles on the faces of our members, please contact us. For an insight into being an adult in Scouting click here. Joining the Group Executive Joining the Executive Committee is a great way to support 150th Scout Group. The committee meets 5 times a year. Members of the Exec enjoy the fact that they get to contribute to overall running and management of the group. They also play a big part in the medium and long term development of the Group so that it will continue to flourish in the years and decades to come! For example, several members of the Exec are currently working on a Five Year plan to completely renovate our whole Head Quarters. |
